Salve salve MINAS GERAIS... olha essa reportagem aí... mó da hra...

Formado em 93, a banda mineira Jota Quest começou com Paulo Diniz no baixo e Paulo Fonseca na bateria, programação e samplers. Márcio Buzelin, teclados e programações, e o guitarrista Marco Túlio Lara entraram para a formação depois. A formação não encontrava vocalista e resolveu fazer um teste. Eis o momento em que Rogério Flausino ( mineiro de Alfenas ) entra na banda. A banda ficou 2 anos no anonimato, tocando em bares e em festas de calouros em Belo Horizonte. O nome surgiu de uma homenagem ao personagem de desenho Johnny Quest. O primeiro disco, lançado por selo independente em 1995, foi pago com esses shows em BH. O disco saiu com apenas mil cópias prensadas. Mas serviu para Sony demonstrar interesse. Enquanto não gravava o disco, o Jota Quest rodou algumas cidades abrindo shows para grupos mineiros como o Skank.
